Polaris Prices
Polaris, or also known as laser lift, is an FDA-approved non-ablative treatment for maintaining youthfulness in the skin. This procedure combines laser with radio frequency and light pulse. With this kind of triple threat, these forms of energy are able to improve the skin’s texture and color. It does this by causing the collagen to tighten so as to reduce redness and dark blotches on the face. The procedure can be customized to control the degree of heat needed to address patients’ specific needs.
Before getting on with the treatment, discuss with your physician first the level of improvement you want to achieve with your skin. This is to dispel any misconceptions about what the treatment can do for you. Your doctor will then assess your medical history and survey your skin to first determine if you are a good candidate for this procedure. Photographs might also be taken in able to compare the results before and after the treatment.
So what are the benefits of this treatment? One of the main benefits of this procedure is that it is non-invasive. Thereby, lowering the chance of experiencing potential risks and complications. There will be no cuts done or tissue damage involved. Also, Polaris is easily controllable to suit each patient’s specific concerns, which is a difficult thing to do on other procedures that involves surgery. Scarring will be minimal, if any. Bruising and swelling is also minimal. Since this procedure uses 3 kinds of energy, it addresses more problem areas than just your standard treatment.
Before the procedure proper, an anesthetic cream is usually applied an hour before. If you have a good tolerance for an ample amount of heat then you can always opt out of applying the topical anesthetic. There will be a brief heat every time the laser touches your face but this is usually contrasted by a cooling spray that’s also applied during the treatment.
Polaris procedure begins with a cool air sprayed on your skin so as to minimize discomfort when the laser, RF and pulse light is applied to your face. Then the laser will be applied to your face similar to a massage-like motion. This goes on for 30-90 minutes. Although, the duration itself is quick and bloodless, you will have to go back for multiple sessions (usually four) of treatment. Each session will have an interval of three weeks in between.
After the treatment, there may be a bit swelling or redness evident but this usually fades in a couple of days. You can even follow it up with makeup to conceal any other telltale evidence that you had Polaris done that day. The full effect can be gradually seen only after a few months but it can potentially endure for several months or years if properly maintained and cared for. After the effect has faded, you can always choose to have the procedure repeated.
Polaris treatment usually costs anywhere from $480 to $550 per session. For the complete treatment spanning up to 4 sessions or more, a packaged fee of $1,700 to $2,500 is the average.
